Installed a new deflector shield and parts needed for complete installation. Somehow I lost the push nut so I drilled the deflector rod where the nut should have went and placed a fender washer and cotter pin. Worked fine.

Lawn Tractor deflector shield broken and hinge rod bent
1. Removed two bolts and nuts holding hinge bracket to mower deck..
2. Removed push nut from hinge rod
3. Installed hinge pin through deflector shield and spring.
4. Installed two bolts and nuts into mower deck with hinge in the \"down\" pressure position.
5. Returned tools to tool box and threw away bent hinge pin

6. Started mower to cut grass to complete operational check. Every thing worked as advertised.
1. Remove cap on end of metal pin holding deflector shield with pliers. Keep cap.
2. Remove metal pin. Keep metal pin and spring.
3. Align new deflector with spring attached to mower chute.
4. Slide metal pin through deflector shield, chute bracket holes and spring.
5. Slide cap onto metal pin using pliers.

Easy as 123... Installed deflection shield pin and spring through shield and bracket. Then bolted assembly back on the mower deck. Two bolts with lock nuts and I was back in business! Thanks for the parts! Had them in two days time and back to mowing!!! Thanks again!
