Unfortunately, they arrived at the home of someone else; I received their package, unrelated to your company. Unfortunately, both packages were sent via Fed Ex. The Fed Ex delivery person called me and said he was dropping off my package near SR 235 because he didn't want to drive his delivery vehicle down my driveway. I told him I'd be right there, but he just dropped the package off at my driveway and left. When I arrived a minute later I knew immediately it wasn't my package, and when I looked, the owner's address and phone # were on the label. I attempted to call the delivery person, but they didn't answer until the third call and by that time he said he was too far away to come back for the package. He wanted me to leave the package by the road, go to Fed Ex's website and they would pick it up the next day. My next move was to call the package owner's phone #: she would not answer or return my message, and I was not about to attempt to deliver the package myself. My next move was to call the Champaign County Sheriff's dispatcher. I explained to her the situation and she said no crime had been committed, and I agreed, but if I left the package by the highway one would be committed. She agreed. I asked if a deputy patrolling could tell this lady that her package had been delivered to the wrong address, so he turned me over to a deputy to whom I explained what was happening and how he could help. Half an hour later he called me back and said he was in my driveway, so I went out to talk with him. He gave me my package from you guys. It had been delivered to this lady's place. So I gave him her package to take to her. I thanked the deputy for his time and effort, and apologized to him for bothering the sheriff's department. The moral of this story is to use the United States Postal Service. They are very good at their jobs. The cable and belt would easily fit in my mailbox, and it would have save me four hours of my time. But I wouldn't have this wonderful story.
