... Read morehile the spring was being compressed was the hard part. I ended up using the blade opening on the rip fence to my chop saw to keep the housing from moving while compressing the spring. Once I stabilized the housing the repair was actually quite easy. The part I received from E replacement Parts worked perfectly! I now have a second chain saw from one that sat idle for about two years!
