This is an original part from Husqvarna and Jonsered for use with Husqvarna and Jonsered Chainsaws. The brake band stops the chainsaw when the brake is applied. Some of the most common reason for changing the brake band on your chainsaw is if the chain brake is not engaging the Chain is not stopping when the brake is applied and the chain brake components are cracked or damaged. This part is sold individually. Here is a list of tools that are needed to install the brake band. A chain adjustment tool (Scrench) or a ratchet/socket/wrench set, flat-blade screwdriver, long-handled screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, Torx driver and long-nosed pliers. Let the chainsaw cool and disconnect the spark plug wire before installing this part.
