This authentic OEM air cleaner cartridge is made out of pleated paper with a plastic and metal case. It is commonly used item on Briggs and Stratton engines installed on lawn and garden equipment. It is designed to filter out dust and debris from contaminating engine. It is advised to periodically check your air filter and change it if it is dirty or damaged. Over time it will get clogged preventing air from entering carburetor. This will affect engines performance and could lead to more serious issues. Please note the foam filter that fits over the sides of this element is sold separately. Replacing air filter is easy and does not require any tools. • First remove the air filter cover by removing the knob • Remove old air filter • Clean out the filter base • Place new air filter in the case • Reassemble and test the engine
