Stood the blower up on its auger with handle bars resting against a wall.
Now I had access to and removed the mower\'s bottom panel.
The friction wheel and mounting hub is attached to a drive shaft with a hex nut.
Remove the nut, remove the hub and wheel, then remove the 4-screws that attach the worn wheel to the hub.

While you\'re in there smear grease on all the gears and shaft slides before replacing the bottom panel.
Lifted machine forward and secured in place. Removed cover plate. Removed old friction wheel and reinstalled new. Tightened nuts, adjusted hand grip.
