1. Took the old parts off.
2. Put the new ones on.
3. Had to use a gear puller to remove blade drive assembly.

Drive belt had stretched and come off the pulley. It then became caught between the pulley and the belt guard.

Removed the bottom cover from the gear box in order to keep the pinion gear from turning. Removed the pulley nut and replaced the belt. Tightened the pulley nut and reinstalled the gear box. Placed the belt on the engine pulley. Reinstalled all the hardware and started the engine.

Removed the old cover and belt, install first the new belt then the cover, done!

cable to adjust tension on the pulley had slipped causing not enough tension on the belt. I did not replace the belt

I loosen the bracket and pulled the cable to get proper tension on the drive pulley. Then fasten the nut to hold the cable in place. I started the mower and the cutting blade swirled around. I did not use the new belt I plan to keep the new belt as a spare.
