Removed the two bolts on each side of the body by the front wheels and removed the guard from underneath the mower. Removed the two screws from underneath near the gear box to release the plastic cover on top. Removed the plastic cover. removed the bolt from the cable retainer and pulled out the old cable from the retainer. Removed the tr action cable spring end and attached the new spring and cable. Pushed the cable through retainer and attached the z hook to the handle. Adjusted the cable tension by moving the cable metal sheet back and forth through the retainer until the right amount of tension was achieved. The cable should not be too tight when handle is fully engaged.

A very easy replacement. Looked to see how the old cable was installed. And then was able to install the new cable. At first I thought the cable was too long, but when I took the slack away from the upper connection and added a couple slip ties lower on the handle to keep the slack from the upper end I have had no problem since.

It was pretty easy to replace the cables. I would take one end of the old cable off, then install the new end of the cable on, until I was done.
