The purpose of this flange bushing is to help secure the shaft and allow it to rotate with minimum friction. Over time this component may wear out, get damaged or lost eventually requiring a replacement. Keep in mind one high-quality metal part is included. Refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the exact location and the correct installation. Replacing this component will require a disassembly of the transmission.
