1. Removed ~ 8 screws (can use torx for most screws but must use small, bladed screw driver for 2), allowing the drill to be split into halves

4. De-soldered 2nd wire from old switch and soldered that wire to the corresponding contact on new switch.
5. Re-assembled drill halves using the ~ 8 screws removed in step 1.
6. Tried to install battery into reassembled drill. I had a problem here. The switch also contains contacts for the battery, and one of those contacts were bent such that I could not install the battery. The drill did not function when I pulled trigger button.
7. Removed ~ 8 screws from drill and opened the two halves.
8. As best as possible, I straightened the bent battery contact on the switch.
9. Re-assembled switch with 8 screws.
10. This time, battery was easily installed into drill, and the drill operated as expected.
