eRaplacementParts has a number of very informative videos on its website, as well as YouTube. I spent a couple of minutes watching, and re-watching them. It made change the carbon brushes a relatively simple task for a DIYer who had not replaced them in the past. They also pointed out items to check and replace if necessary.
... Read more />Credit goes to the manufacturers as well, for designing tools/machines which allow competent DIYers to perform moderately complex repairs. No one has the time or money to bring power tools to the dealer/seller for repairs.
Followed Bosch manual in detail. Removed both caps and found one split. Removed brushes and vacuumed out insert area and blew out with air to make sure it was clean. Replaced items in the reverse order. Allowed tool to run under no load for the recommended time to brake in brushes. All well that ends well. Saw works as if new
