Mostly followed Pony Troy-Built (2012 model) manual, but found getting the belt on was much easier if I first disconnected the forward clutch cable which released the tension pulley.

Any difficulties I had I would blame on my own boob-ery..with which I have been long gifted.

Troy bolton rototiller in BAD need of maintainance. Replaced drive belt, changed oil. Runs now like 5 years old. 1974 vintage.

Took off metal shroud with wing nuts. Stuck hand in and wrestled for 40 min. with what path to pull old belt out with. Pried it past pulleys with screwdriver. Wrestled another 20 min. getting new one back in. SUCCESS. It meant a lot that you folks knew the right belt that would fit. If it had been the wrong size, I would have needed c lean underwear!
Changed the oil and put in new gear oil and these three activities put the tiller back in business.
Think I\'ll try the reverse belt next. It looks easier.
Thanks again.
