I have an old troy built trimmer, and the motor kept sputtering, and idle but shut off when throttle was added. I decided to replace the carburetor. I removed the housing, and air cleaner, then removed the carb. Install the new carb by reconnecting the fuel lines (make sure they are in the correct spot), reconnect the throttle cable, then just put the air cleaner, and cover back.
