Existing chuck galled up and would not open or close

Lower your table and place some protection on it.
I used a hammer to strike the drift key into the spindle to remove the arbor and the chuck.
I then cleaned the new arbor and the inside of the new chuck with lacquer to get rid of any oil residue.
I then used a mallet to tap the new arbor into the spindle.
Then I us ed the same mallet to tap the chuck on the arbor. Note: Open you chuck all of the way before striking it with the mallet.
