This helps to cut down on flare-ups providing for a better and safer cooking experience. Another benefit of a sear plate is that the drippings, marinades, and juices from the food would fall down onto the hot surface of the plate, adding that smokey BBQ flavor. Bars tend to rust much faster if they are not cleaned after each use. Please note this high-quality sear plate is sold individually.
