Unplug the planer
Remove the chip deflector
Turn the cutterhead by hand towards you until it is stopped by the self-engaging latch
Loosen and remove the six screws from the gib
Remove the gib
The blade is held in position by two pins. Lift the old blades from the pins with pair of gloves on

Reinstall the gib, and tighten the six screws
Do the same for the other blade
