Parts Used:

Tools 5mm & 6mm allen wrench, 12mm end wrench, Small pry bar. Remove the 4 allen screws on top of the carriage. Remove the 2 allen screws at the end of the bed that hold the 3 shafts that drive the carriage. Use the pry bar to move the top carriage away from the gear box. Tip the gear box away from the bed. Use the 12mm end wrench to remo ve the bolt holding the gear on. After removing the bolt use the pry bar to remove the gear. Beware!! Put a cloth over the worm gear opening below the brass gear or the key for the brass gear can fall in that opening. Not fun getting back out! Put the new gear in with the flange on the gear towards the gear box. When bolting the top carriage back on check to make sure the cross slide works. It could lock up when bolted together because the gears didn\'t mesh properly. Good luck.
