The plate attaches to the bumper and is made of plastic. This part is an OEM from DeWALT and Porter Cable for use in nailers. This item is available as an individual replacement part. A set of pliers might be required during the replacement of this part. It will require replacing if it breaks.
1. Removed the four bolts holding on the rear cap.
2. Removed internals.
3. Installed new internals with a light coating of oil.
4. Reinstalled rear cap with new gasket.
