This replacement piston stop is a genuine OEM sourced item, it is specially made for use with Porter Cable roofing nailers. The purpose of this part is to act as a cushion for the driver when the it retracts back in the cylinder after being fired. Because this part get so much abuse it has a tendency to crack and fall apart eventually requiring replacement. This piston stop is made from durable plastic material and it is sold individually. Replacing this part is a fairly easy task that should only require a hex key also known as an allen wrench to remove the cylinder cap.
