Piston stop was completely disintegrated and the air director on the top also disintegrated

Kevin from Ft. Myers, Florida

Difficulty Level:

Total Repair Time:

I put a rebuild kit into the gun and then saw the piston stop was disintegrated. I got a new one and was going to leave the head of the gun alone as it worked but the air deflector (that rotates) was also dry rotted and disintegrated in my hands. I purchased a new gun head and when it arrived I realized that the seals were not in it so I had to CAREFULLY remove them from the original head. I used the dental pick and was able to remove them without damaging them. They went right into the new head and after putting it back on the gun it works perfectly. I also cut off an old allen wrench so I could chuck it into a drill which sped up the removal and replacement of the head. I used the old gasket as it is thick and solid and worked fine.
