This is an authentic OEM component from Bostitch. The frame/cap gasket is made for use with the BTFP71917 (Type 1) Smart Point 16 GA Finish Nailer Kit. The cardboard composite gasket is fitted between the cap assembly and the frame, providing protection from friction. This part is sold individually, and an Allen wrench is needed for making the replacement.
