2. Pull the shaft out the bottom through the hole provided for this purpose.
3. Remove broken lever parts with attached spring.
4. Reinstall the spring on new lever part and reinstall lever and spring.

I had ro remove old part that broke off that still in router. At first, I thought it was part of the assembly so it was confusong at first but I figured out and completed the repair. It is 100% ok now.
