This is a genuine replacement part from original manufacturer. It is compatible with various Porter Cable nailers and staplers. An E-ring is a type of retaining ring that is not fully sealed on one side. It is designed to clip into place, usually locking into a groove on the outside of a shaft, in order to secure the placement of other parts. Sold individually.

The C snap ring fell off the pin that holds in the trigger to the tool. Trigger fell off

1 order new ring
2. Remove the temporary wire that held the trigger in carefully pushing the wire out with the original black pin to prevent the trigger from falling off
3 carefully install the new snap ring in the grove of the pin. You might need a screwdriver to snap it in place. In my case the snap ring was just maybe .0 1ö too big and would not snap in. I carefully put a little epoxy on the snap ring and pin end. Dried overnight. Perfect

Beware that you are working with a tiny part, colored black that requires you to overcome spring tension to install. Be very careful to keep good control of the snap ring. If it goes flying across your shop, you will never be finding it

Lost e-ring

Snapped the new E-Ring onto cross pin that holds the trigger in place after pinching the E-Ring to make it tighter so it would not pop off as easy as the old one did. A poor design that was corrected in the newer models
