This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Ryobi hedge trimmers. The special gear is commonly used to link the electric motor and the gear and blade assembly. This gear is available as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.
Removed all screws holding hedge trimmer casing together,(T-15 Torx)
Removed 4 screws holding cover over gear assembly.
Removed 5/16 nut holding gear assembly & blade together.
Removed a set of gears to get at & remove the broken gear.
Replaced the broken gear with new gear.
Assembled in reverse order.
