1. Changed trigger setting to multi-fire, and it worked consistently. Inspection of the old trigger assembly revealed that the rapid fire setting changes the amount of trigger depression.
2. Ordered a new trigger and assembly.
3. Removed the trigger assembly by unscrewing it with a wrench( 8mm I believe) and using a quick bl ast of air into the air input coupling from a blow into the gun to pop out the old assembly. I used a rag to protect my hand and catch the part. I didnGÇÖt connect full air to the gun because the air pressure couldnGÇÖt be controlled to minimize potential injury.
4. Inserted the new assembly and trigger.
It all works great!
