This is a genuine Simplicity replacement part used in compatible mowers and tractors. The relief bearing attaches to the wheel and is made of metal. If this part wears down it will need to be replaced and may require a set of pliers and a hammer during the installation. It is available as an individual replacement even though two may be needed.

Oil pan gasket was leaking, wouldn\'t stay running & front wheels loose

Parts Used:: 2156316SM, 393397, 272490S, 394019S

Drained oil, removed engine, turned it over, removed pan, cleaned and installed new gasket {gasket was ordered earlier}, reinstall engine, refill oil. Rebuild gas pump & clean carb. Removed front wheels,hammered out bushings installed new ones, easy peasy!

1. Removed Front wheels
2. Used punch to remove old bearings.
3. Used hammer to tap in new bearing reliefs.
4. Remounted wheels.

Removed front tires, used a hammer and chisel to punch out the old bearings, then used the hammer to seat the new ones. Greased the front wheel spindles then slid the wheels back on.
