Product Description

This item has been sourced from the original manufacturer and is intended to be used with riding lawnmowers from snapper. The coated metal blade attaches to the spindle shaft assembly. Overtime lawnmower blades can wear down and become dull. This can cause the ends of the grass to become frayed and discolored. Replacing the dull blade can provide a cleaner cut and improve the look of the lawn. This part is sold individually.

Removed deck, removed pulley on top of shaft for blade, removed blade, spindle washer and bearing. Replaced parts and reassembled. Same for other blade, filled both with grease and mounted deck back to mower. When I started mowing, found that top lock nut holding down pulley was louse, tightened and returned to mowing.

1. Remove V belt from tractor PTO and blade pulleys.
2. Remove lawnmower deck from tractor.
3. Remove old blades with ratchet/socket; use vise grip on top of deck to keep pulley from spinning.
4. Install new blades; tighten with ratchet and vise grip.
5. Reconnect deck to tractor.

1 Jack up front of mower, put jack stands to hold it up
2 Remove nut from blade, holding blade with 2x4 up against the side
3 Replace spindle washer, blade, and fender washers
4 Remove jack stands lower mower
5 Cut grass

Jacked up mower, slid 3 in pipe over old blade to secure it removed bolt holding blade on , installed new blade, repeat on other blade . Lower mower done!!!
