This is an authentic part that is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for Simplicity lawn mowers. The V belt connects the engine pulley to the transmission pulley, to propel the mower forward. This part is made of rubber and is sold individually. You will need a socket wrench to remove any covers or shrouds on the unit. Use a screwdriver to pull the idler pulley up and place the belt underneath it.

1. Removed the mower deck on a simplicity mower. This required pliers to remove a cotter key for the belt tension assembly. The deck has to come out on side with the height adjustment and turn the wheels as far as you can so the deck will come out.
2. While you have the deck out you should grease and sharpen blades.
3 Put t he new belt on and replace deck assembly.
