Remove the four retaining screws from starter assy. and lift off.
Carefully drop on the \"soft start\" starter and replace the screws.
The internal torsion spring absorbs the shock of each compression stroke and allows a
long smooth pull which fires the engine in two pulls. Nice saw now!
