This is a genuine OEM replacement part. It is sold individually. The purpose of the 574492201 Spool Cap is to hold the spool and line for the trimmer inside the spool housing. To replace the Cover you simply press on the the two upper tabs of the cover to release it from the spool housing.

Too simple. One side of cap broke off and none of the local stores carried the one for my trimmer. eReplacementParts had innumerable styles. It just slipped on and snapped and now I am using the trimmer again.
Press the tabs on both sides of the cap and pull to remove it. Line up the tabs on the new cap to the slots in the upper body, and just push the new cap on.
