Product Description

?

This genuine OEM bail arm guide, also called a line roller or line guide, is a part of your spinning reel that ensures smooth and even line retrieval onto the spool. Located on the bail arm, which is the metal wire responsible for releasing and retrieving the line, it rotates as you reel in, preventing tangles and twists. Over time, regular use, exposure to saltwater or debris, and accidental impacts can cause wear and damage to the guide. It needs to be replaced if you notice line twisting, uneven line distribution on the spool, noisy operation, or visible wear or physical damage like cracks, chips, or deformation. To replace the bail arm guide, start by unthreading the screw that secures the bail arm cover. Once detached, you can access the bail arm spring and guide, which can be removed from the bail arm. Keep in mind that the bail arm guide is sold separately from other hardware within the bail arm.

Hint: the parts breakdown photos are not always as clear as we would like. Take pictures as you disassemble the reel. It saves a lot o f time trying to figure out how the new part should go back in. It also reduces the need for those words of encouragement that can often be heard in the other room.
