It is an authentic replacement washer that is supplied by original manufacturer for use with Pflueger and Shakespeare fishing reels. This is one of the washers for the main shaft, please make sure to check appropriate diagram of your reel for correct location and use of this hardware. It is a high quality metal washer that is sold individually.
I had been noticing that when I added new line to the reel, it was not sitting on the spool correctly. I opened up the spool and noticed that there were several parts missing. This was a bargain cave purchase and I should have looked closer
while noting sequences of bearing and washer just stacked parts in correct order per instructions from reel pamphlet.Will make sure no parts lost when changing front of reel holding line
Took the reel apart and put it back together following the diagram online after that it worked fine. No tools needed
