Anyone looking for discontinued cog part#21800 for Abu Garcia casting reel, order middle gear part#1121550 and E washer part#1133385 from Abu Garcia 6600 BCX.
Flip the middle gear and use the E washer to lock the gear in place. Formula is discontinued Cog=middle gear and E washer.
Good luck to all Ambassadeur lovers and save m oney. I fixed 3 reels and save myself over $300. New ones are well out of my budget.
If I knew ereplacementparts before I probably saved many things.

I removed the cover by backing out 3screws. Then using a small screwdriver I removed the C-clip that holds the gear in place. I lifted the worn gear with the screwdriver and replaced it with the new one. I added a bit of grease and put the C-clip back on with the screwdriver. I put the cover back on with 3 screws and the reel works grea t.
