This is a genuine OEM part. The spool tension spring is compatible with the Shimano TR Drag Reels. This metal item is fitted between the spool shaft bushing "a" and the spacer "a", providing tension to the cast control components on the right side plate. A screwdriver and a pair of pliers are needed for the proper installation. The spool tension spring is sold individually.

1. Used a screwdriver to disassemble the left side reel cover from the reel.
2. Removed the cast control cap and replaced the spool tension spring and the spool shaft bushing.
3. Replaced the cast control cap.
4. Removed the crank and the old broken star drag.
5. Replaced the star drag and the spacer A.
6. Ch ecked all screws for tightness.
