This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Skil circular saws. The casing foot is the base of the saw and used to guide the saw body over the stock being cut. This casing foot is available as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.

Foot plate bent preventing saw from cutting squarely
Removed retaining clip from depth lever
Spent 15 minutes trying to unbolt lever before realizing it just pushed off!
pushed front retaining pin out from front of saw with punch.
removed plate.
reversed process to complete repair
Removed roll pin
Removed plastic knob from bolt that adjusts base plate angle
Removed star washer on depth adjuster bolt
Removed nut from bolt and took off the plastic lever that locks the depth of the blade
The bolt bolt was then removed allowing to base plate to be removed from the plastic housing

... Read more plate could then moved forward and removed allowing the angle adjustment bolt to be removed fro the base plate
Installation
Angle adjust bolt put in plate which was then slide on plastic case
Roll pin inserted through case and base plate and hammered into position
Depth plate bolt placed through case and plate
Plastic adjustment lever placed over nut after snugged down followed by star washer
Time frame result of having no diagram once apart it went back together in ten minutes
To replace to bottom plate I had to disassemble most all of the saw to get to all of the bolts to remove. Disassembly was not difficult, just took a bit to figure out all that needed to be taken off as I had not needed to do this before. If you are somewhat mechanically minded this will help greatly. ... Read more I work and have been a mechanic in the past. I bought a new roll pin as I was not sure if the old one would be reusable or not and I bought brushes to have on hand. Brushes are simple to replace.
