I bought this tractor a few weeks ago, used, and the parking brake would not hold. I removed the part. It\'s in a place that is not easily accessible. After reviewing it in the owner\'s manual, I put it on the opposite side of the support flange, and it now works great. The old part was worn and would not have held the parking brake, anyway. Now it works as it should. Sometimes if you do not know what you are doing, it might be better to get help. Take it from a veteran DIY\'er.

Husqvarna 2654GTH 2009. Installed new brake handle, catch plate and new retainer clips.
* Brake not functioning correctly after new handle replaced.
* Removed right rear wheel, removed bolts on brake actuator, found actuator pins frozen.
* Used penetrating oil to free pins.
* Reassemble brake and installed wheel , brake functions perfect.
Broken handle not cause of brake problem. Handle broke from age.
