This replacement part is specially designed for Dewalt compound miter saws. It is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer. Kerf boards, also known as kerf plates are used to prevent excessive splintering. This results in better and cleaner cuts. This part is made out of yellow plastic and it is sold individually. Screws that attach this kerf board are sold separately.

Removed/replaced saw fence adjustable base. Four star screws held fence and single nut held base. removed and installed. Easy as that. Ereplacementparts really seems to understand that I make my living with these tools. Complete selection and RAPID shipping. Great to know. I have tossed expensive tools that I should have fixed in the past . Never again.

I had cut fare amount of metal and the sparks had pitted and melted the Dust Duct assembly and Kerf plate.

Very simple install. The dust duct assembly took a bit of finagling to take out and reinstall trying to find the right angles.

There was no dust collection tube and kerf plate and bevel scale was worn - used saw

Simply placed the collection tube, plate and scale on saw with screws. Very easy repair. Saw is now like new.

Went to your site looked at the different saws until I found one very similar in looks went to manuals and drawings of machine to find what was missing, Did good until kerf plates wound up calling you for help had ordered wrong plate, your people were very helpful. Saw is back together, and appear to be great. This was a gift from a frien d whom had found it in a building missing parts.thank you all again for your help.

Remove the screws and pull out kerf plates.
Place new kerf plates in position and use old screws to fasten.
