This is an authentic Echo replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with pole pruners. The sprocket guard attaches to the gear case and is used to cover and protect the sprocket that drives the cutting chain. This part is sold as an individual item.
1. Removed bent bar and bent chain and broken plastic chain cover.
2. The plastic cover had a small piece broken off holding the chain adjusting beveled gears.
3.Took the chain adjusting assy. out of the broken cover by removing a small screw holding it in.
4. Put it back in the new cover with the new collar.

Pole trimmer was in working condition initially, but wear and tear on various parts required replacement to maintain optimum performance.
1) removed chain guard/sprocket cover bolts, removed cover
2) cleaned up chain, bar and other parts
3) removed usable parts from sprocket cover
4) replaced worn, broken parts as ordered
5) reverse of previous steps to assemble
6) replaced damaged/missing stickers
7) tested assembled unit
