This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with gas powered string trimmers and blowers. The ignition module also known as armature-magneto is designed to produce pulses of high voltage for the spark plugs. It is made from durable metal with a rubber insulated wire and it is sold individually. Please note the spark plug boot is sold separately.

1. Added new fresh oil correct 15OZ amount.
2. Replaced Spark plug.
3. Replaced Air Foam Filter.
4. Replaced carburator.
5. Replaced Armature Magneto.
6. Replaced Wire Stop.

Bad Armature on a new Toro Mower

Removed the old Armature and replaced with the new one. When replacing the new armature I rotated the fly wheel to the magnet side and used a business card to space the guides away from the magnet and installed the new armature, removed the card replaced the top and was done.

Adjustment to Armature

Armature Magneto was out of alignment.. Ordered new backup part.. Unscrewed magneto screws and removed unit and brushed off the contacts.. realigned unit and retightened the mounting screws.. Starting cap was already removed prior to making any adjustments along with the spark plug cap removed from spark plug.. Use socket set to removed a nd reinstall the hex bolt screws of the cap.. time was less than 30 minuets for the total repair (realignment) procedure..

Mow would not start

Check the armature with the multimeter for continuity found it not to be working right. Ordered replacement part came with in 3 days. Put it on checked Gap and first pull it started.

1. Remove the engine cover
2. Remove old Armature-Magneto
3. Replace the new Armature-Magneto
4. Put the cover back on the engine

Armature Magneto failed

Removed engine covers.
Removed magneto wire
Removed magneto (two screws)
Positioned new magneto using business card for gap.
Secured magneto in place by tightening two screws.
Removed business card spacer
Reinstalled engine covers.
Started engine with pull cord.
