This is an authentic OEM part from Troybilt, MTD, Tard machines and Yardman for use with Lawn Mowers. The transmission tension spring pushes and pivots the transmission back to the neutral position when the drive system is disengaged. The most common reason for replacing the spring is when the self-propel feature on the mower is not working properly. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the transmission tension spring are pliers, 10mm socket, 10mm wrench and a T-40 Torx bit.
