The large gear removes easily, but the smaller(spur gear) was more difficult. Save time by using an impact act with allen head socket to remove the bolt. You\'ll have to m a makeshift puller to get the small gear out. Easy was is to take a piece of bar stock and drill a hole slightly larger than the bolt you just removed. Support it with a couple of large nuts or something strong, thread the bolt back into the gear part way and tighten to remove the small gear. Polish the shaft of the new gear with crocus or emery before installing. Naturally grease the gears thoroughly be fore completing.

1. Removed blade.
2. Removed gear cover.
3. Removed bolt holding drive gear and clutch hub together. This was not easy. Was able to kludge together a brace to hold clutch hub stationary while backing out the bolt.
4. Drive gear and double set of bearings were withdrawn from case. Used small bearing puller to pull bearing s off drive gear shaft.
5. Replaced drive gear with new one and used a deep socket same diameter as bearings to pound bearings back into place on drive gear shaft.
6. Replaced clutch assembly.
7. Lubed new gears and replaced into case.
8. Put case cover back on and installed new blade.
9. Tested
