Remove the screws for the oil pump, disconnect the hose.
My worm gear wasn\'t hurt so i didn\'t replace it.
Clean all the old saw dust and debris ... Read more >I removed the oil pickup tube and pushed the new on in place.
Connect the oil pump to the pickup tube, reinstall the screws
Replace the clutch tighten it. I set the clutch with the chain break after i got the saw assembled.
Replace the cleaned covers chain and bar.
The old oil pump died because the former owner let oily saw dust and weeds build up behind the clutch and it melted the pump housing.

. Drained the chain bar oil from the saw. Removed clutch with new removal tool and help from the video.Removed and replaced oil pick up assy. as well as the pump. Hardest part is putting the pump spring drive on the shaft. Just keep working it slowly with a flat blade screwdriver Make sure the spacing is as close to possible to the spaci ng out of the bag it comes in. Reinstalled all as per video. Roughly an hour included refill of chain oil and cleaning the air cleaner.
Please note that the removal tool is necessary for the clutch which was cheap from you folks. It is reverse threads to remove it. The only way to keep the motor from turning while you try to loosen the clutch is remove spark plug, put about 8\" to a foot of none fraying 1/4\" rope down the plug hole and turn the clutch till the piston pushes its way onto the rope. That will hold the crank in place while you spin off the clutch. Disassembly and reassembly takes longer than the repair. Watch the video on ereplacement website. This was all done to a 24 year old Poulan 2050. Cost about $31 parts, tool and shipping. Still runs like brand new!!!
