This is a complete assembly, including the electrical wiring, which is used to carry electric current from the starter assembly to the spark plug. You will require an Allen wrench or hex key when replacing this item. This part is sold individually.

1. Removed the top cover and cover with the starter rope handle.
2. Disconnected small wire that led to the switch.(This also was the reason my start/stop switch wasnGÇÖt working. )
3. Remove the two Allen head screws that hold in the ignition module. Put in a new ignition module. Tighten it down. Reconnected small on off sw itch wire. Ran wire to the plug in the same route as the one that came out.
4. Trickiest part was connecting the boot and clip that connect the plug wire to the plug. Checked it out on YouTube and it was a piece of cake
5.Cleaned off as much sawdust that had accumulated in 14 years as I could. Put the covers back on. Fired her up and she ran just as great as she always has.
