I wanted an 18 in Weber Kettle with the ash catcher rather than the open ash pan. Weber did, but no longer, sells them with the catcher and they would not sell the catcher to me. Very simple install. DidnÆt require any tools except for my hands and a couple cold beers!! Flipped grill over and the ash catcher slid right into place. Bent the tabs to the correct position, started grilling in 15 minutes!!
Clipped the Ash Pan Ring into place under the kettle. Then clipped pan onto ring. This was less of a repair and more of buying an accessory and installing it.
