The hose connecting the vacuum suction to the disposable bag had a rip in it resulting in the vacuumed dust being deposited inside the outer bag instead of going into the disposable bag.

Used an exacto knife to slice the vinyl wrap holding each end of the existing hose onto their respective ends. Pulled off the old hose and replaced it with the new one. Used a pair of automotive hose clamps to re-fasten the ends. Most of the repair time was spent cleaning the dusty mess out of the outer bag before installing the new hos e. Installing the new hose only took 5 or so minutes.

2. Some difficulty putting the new tube on the vacuum. Need to twist it.
3. Tighten the tie wraps one for each end of the tube.
4. You should connect the tube to the vacuum end first to make it easier.

The most difficult part of this repair was getting the old connector off of the bag. The fill tube came off easily with scissors to the zip tie. Once I figured out HOW to get the bag off the connector, the rest was a piece of cake. No more dust blowing EVERYWHERE!!

1. Watched videos like Kirby enthusiast on how to take the bag off emtor.
2. Detached top of bag, inside, from loop of adapter. Used screw driver and towel to carefully release the bag clamp at emtor. Saved for later. Unfolded bottom of bag and removed from emtor. Cut shrink tape, cable ties off hose ends. Untwisted hose from emtor and adapter end.
3. Cleaned everything thoroughly as there was impacted filth in emtor. In hindsight, I would have bought whole assembly with emtor and bag as both are worn, or just send in Kirby for rebuild but cannot live without a vacuum.
4. Screwed hose on clean, dry emtor first (it stayed by itself when tugged) and secured w/ 2 cable/zip ties, 1 for Kirby 2.99 and 1 from bag of 11\" zip ties (3.99 for 20).
5. Then screwed other end onto adapter but it kept falling off. Secured that end with a zip tie as well, with someone\'s help as it needed tightened just so. Face the adapter to back so it is accessible through Kirby bag zipper.
6. Reassembled bag and clamp to emtor. Etc.
