Installing the new brush belt is a very easy procedure on a Kirby Classic 1CR. You simply remove the nozzle assembly and open the rug guard, bend one of the roller keepers just enough to slide the new belt onto the roller, slip the roller back into its\' holder (on each end) and then close the rug guard making sure that the belt is out of the way to allow the rug guard to be closed. Then turn over the nozzle assembly so that you can look into where the belt lifter is located. Turn the belt lifter so that it catches the new belt and allows you to lock the belt in the \"off\" position. Here is when you check to make sure that the bristles only protrude the rug guard by 1/16\", adjust each end of the roller keepers using a screwdriver to allow the bristles to be uniform in the distance that the bristles protrude out of the rug guard. Attach the nozzle assembly back onto the vacuum and turn the belt lifter to the on position, done.
