This handle is an original part from DeWALT. The bail handle fits to the outside of the drill using bolts, and helps you to grip and carry the device. It will need replacing if it breaks off, and will require a wrench for installation. The handle is made out of plastic and is sold as an individual replacement part.

Removed handle nuts and broken handle parts with Plumber Pipe Pliers.
Re-positioned Bail Handle holes over Nut Hole Locations.
Tightened nuts with Plumber Pipe Pliers.

Installed the handle ends over the holes in the gearcase
Then tightened the adapters (Nuts) through the hole in the handle into the gearcase
