Get the mower up on the work bench to have access to the underside. Turn it on the right side of the mower. Utter shock when I discovered I needed to have the transmisson loose so I could access the Z bend. Then more SHOCK to get the cable loose from the mounting plate. Then remove the blades. Reqired a littled used puller tool and t
... Read morehe need for a longer bolt to get the assemble off the cranks shaft. Then remove the drive belt to allow the transmission to be rotated so I would have access to shift lever on the transmission and remove the old cable. Now I will need to access it all again since it wont sift properly. Should take a lot less time now that I have done it. Not a job for the average homeowner. Good luck.
