The engine was sputtering, suspected float and clogged jets. Blade was worn out.

Replacing the blade was simple enough. Two bolts is all involved with removal and replacement.

The carburetor was a little more involved with the removal of two wing nuts (removal of air filter) four screws (removal of engine shroud) and three bolts (removal of carburetor).

Instant satisfaction after three poles. Engine fired up and running perfectly.

would not start

1) Removed blade, nut with impact drill, blade holder, sheered washer, flywheel (very difficult).
2) Replaced flywheel key and flywheel, straightened blade holder and replaced with new keyed washer (aligned with flywheel magnet), attached blade with new Honda nuts.
3) Replaced carburetor and fuel line with new ones.
4) R eplaced rusted/frozen brake cable (no spark).
5) Runs almost like new again. 37 years old.

Removed the old carburetor and simply bolted on the new one.
The replacement carburetor was a perfect match and the mower started first pull.

Remove the air filter.
Remove the air filter housing and then the carburator.
Replace with new carburator and reassemble the air filter.
Start it up.

remove the air filter then the carb and replace the carb and air filter and it runs like new again it was a easy fix
