This replacement housing/clamshell set is an authentic part that is specially designed for use with Makita impact driver. It is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. This plastic housing is the main body and the handle of the tool. This set includes both the right and the left sides of the housing. Please note the screws that hold the clamshell together are not included, they are sold separately. To complete this repair you will need a screwdriver.

Cracked battery mount from dropping from rafters a couple of times.
Removed all screws and split housings. Removed all inner parts from old housing and replaced them in the new one. Look at how the switch and the light wiring is routed before removing the insides, Also make sure the forward and the reverse button is engaged in the switch. Put it back together.
